We welcome you with open arms to our new flagship design studio. Each nook and cranny offers a uniquely curated experience that celebrates our island home and the community within it. We are so grateful to all participants on our journey these past two years and can't wait to see what the next 5,10, or 50 years will look like. Florida's Sunken Treasure
Treasure Hunter, Mel Fisher spent decades diving off the Florida Keys. Most notably in 1970s, he uncovered the wreck of the Nuestra Señora de Atocha. A treasure galleon which sank during a hurricane in 1622 off the coast of Florida.
Following a 16-year search and an eight-year legal battle against the State of Florida, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Fisher’s favor in 1982, giving him and his investors ownership of the treasure.
The “mother lode” he found included 24 tons of silver bullion, 180,000 pesos of silver coins, 125 gold bars, and thousands of emeralds. Rumored to be worth nearly $450 million.
